I receive accommodations through the Disability Support Services Office. Therefore, contact my instructor and let him/her know that I am out sick and/or in the hospital.
Accommodations do not cover absences from classes. Students are either in or out of class. Attendance is governed by policies as outlined in the FTCC Student Handbook. The “Course Syllabus” further informs students of expected attendance guidelines. Therefore, the instructors are persons of contact when not attending classes. For effective problem resolution, contact the instructor(s). Upon returning to class, submit written, official documentation. Even with the documentation, the course syllabus governs the attendance policy.
